SRP NUPUS Student Thesis Scholarships

The Stuttgart Research Partnership NUPUS offers scholarships to talented students working on their Master's Thesis. The subject has to be related to the field of porous media. The scholarship is granted twice a year and open for M.Sc. students enrolled in Stuttgart or in one of the SRP NUPUS partner institutions.

The successfull applicants are expected to carry out their work, at least partly, at one of the partner institutions. It is not in accordance with the aims of the SRP that the scholarship holders remain at their home university.

Deadline for the present call is Friday, 1st September 2017.

Please note that this scholarship is not compatible with other grants. The funding of the present call will start on 1st October 2017.

Duration of scholarship:

  • 1st funding period: April to September of each year
  • 2nd funding period: October to March of each year

 

Duration / Money:

The successful applicants are awarded a scholarship for 6 months of a maximum amount of 800.00 EUR per month. The selection committee may split this amount depending on the quality and quantity of the application.

Prerequisites:

  • Almost completed course of study in Civil, Environ­mental, Chemical or Process Engineering, Mathematics, Computational Science, Physics or neighbouring disciplines with above-average results
  • Applicants are expected to possess a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English

 

How to apply:

Applications have to be submitted online. Please fill in the corresponding online registration form. Applicants are expected to supply one pdf-file containing the following information:

  • CV
  • copy of the degree certificates (successful applicants will have to show the official transcript)
  • letter of motivation (1 page)
  • research proposal

 

Applicant election:

The selection will be done through a board consisting of three SRP NUPUS members. The decision of the selection committee is final.
